For Beaune this is a very deep and positively ripe wine, yet it moves rather light-footedly over the medium- to full-bodied palate. A wealth of black cherry and forest berry fruit is wrapped around the lovingly crafted tannin structure. So much power and concentration, but also a stunning freshness in the very long finish. Such a fragrant and generous Beaune Premier Cru with a wonderful balance of full fine tannins and ample cherry fruit, the balance spot-on. Very long finish, supported by an abundance of powdery tannins. So much energy and excellent aging potential. Drink or hold.

This domaine wine has a perfumed, lifted, red fruit aroma. Rather elegant and pure. It has a light body and gentle tannins. There is the freshness and zestyness of ripe red-currant fruit, and a bright, crunchy note to finish.  Most atractive and forward. 2024-30. 

The 7.5- acre Les Perrières vineyard lies high up on the slope in a cooler locale, which may help explain this wine's bright energy in a hot year like 2020. Though tightly wound, as expected from a young top premier cru, its stature shows with gorgeous mineral-scented aromatics and
impressive length. Engaging red fruit flavors intermingled with clear stony notes -  the site was an ancient quarry -  are clearly heard. Pure and precise, it's a winner. (Michael Apstein, December 2020)

Bright and focused, exuding blackberry, black cherry, violet and mineral flavors. Nicely balanced and harmonious, with a refined structure contributing to the overall nesse. Terrifc length. Best from 2024 through 2042. -B.S.

Lovely red fruit and a very silky personality make this very easy to enjoy. However, this is sophisticated wine with very fine tannins. Very long, filigree finish. Drink or hold.

The 2016 Beaune 1er Cru Perrières is showing well, offering up aromas of cherry, cassis, candied peel and subtle hints of coniferous forest floor. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with tangy acids and fine but chalky tannins that assert themselves on the sapid finish. It's very true to type and will give pleasure for over a decade. Crink 2018-2028

A closed nose gives a faint but pure note of ripe, dark cherry. The palate has a promise of deeper fruit, something plush and fine as its core. There is lovely, bright freshness, concentration, and a firm hold of fine tannin. Lovely. - Anne Krebiehl MW

Among the most northerly of the run of Beaune premier crus, the wine is structured but the structure is cushioned by the ripe red-berry fruits to give a generous wine. (USA)

A mix of earth and sour cherry defines this red, picking up a light herbaceous note on the finish. Right now this shows an outer shell and inner tension, but the two need time to integrate. Best from 2018 through 2024. By Bruce Sanderson (USA)

Quite dense, almost chocolaty, with a real ripeness and richness and depth of fruit (the first 2010 of this line up). The palate is fleshy and plush, a big plum and blackberry ripeness, but it has a solid if slightly baked feel, plenty of smooth and silky tannin and sufficient acidity. Not as elegant as some of the lighter vintages, but impressive and Beaune like. (UK)
