Silkier, slightly chalky, lovely fruit. I like the modest structure here - open, faintly reductive today but with lots of mouth-watering red fruit. Fine finishing intensity again - lovely. Domaine - Almost a  month in the bottle.

Lovely nose of forest berries. Very good balance of fruit, medium to full body and healthy tannins that have a slight grip, but are very well integrated in the wine. Quite a firm finish, but not a jot too dry. Definitely a wine for the dinner table. Drink or hold.

Here too there is a whiff of oak lurking in the background of the earthier aromas of cassis and dark berry fruit coulis. There is both good energy and an attractive texture to the sappy medium-bodied flavors that flash very good length on the finale. This is very Aloxe in character and offers solid quality.

This intense yet supple red is introduced with aromas of graphite, black currant, black cherry, earth and spice. The refined structure is offset by ample flesh, while this is harmonious and almost approachable at this early stage. Drink now through 2028. -BS

Shy in aromas, yet full of black cherry and blackberry fruit, shaded by earth and spice. A meaty style, it leads with fruit and closes with slightly gritty tannins, in a good way. Drink now through 2028.— BS

An overtly earthy and sauvage-suffused nose speaks of roasted plum, forest floor and a hint of wood. There is fine volume to the round and seductively textured, even suave, flavors that possess good power and drive on the rustic and mildly warm finish that possess very good depth...

The wine has a good structure with sophisticated tannins and perfumed acidity. Black cherry and spice from the wood are balanced by the freshness of the acidity and the rounded aftertaste. (USA)

This is quite ripe yet the still reasonably fresh liqueur-like aromas of dark berries, plum, game and earth nuances stop short of being jammy or roasted. There is fine richness and concentration to the round, generously proportioned and sappy medium-bodied flavors that possess an attractive mid-palate texture before concluding in a rustic but not really austere finale. This is sufficiently structured to reward a few years of cellaring but not so much that it couldn't be enjoyed young. 2021+ Allen Meadows (USA)

From the Louis Latour domaine, this rich wine is lightly touched with wood. It has red-plum flavors and ripe acidity, with the structure embedded in the fruits. Drink from 2019.

A discreet application of wood frames a fresh array of earth, game and red and dark currant scents. There is once again good verve and detail to the solidly well-concentrated medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by ripe tannins on the rustic but attractively complex and persistent finale. /2021+ - Allen Meadows
